What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is based on the premise that there are "reflex points" located in the feet, hands, ears and face that correspond with all body parts. Stimulating these reflexes cause reactions in the corresponding parts of the body. This reaction can be best described as relaxation or a return to equilibrium.
Reflexology can help you reduce the symptoms or effects of stress, tension and anxiety. It can help you relax, sleep better and increase energy levels, which will in turn make you feel happier and more vibrant.
We are all individuals and the effects of this gentle and non-invasive therapy are unique. Reflexology is suitable for children as well as adults and the elderly. I have helped people with various conditions and below are a few examples:
Stress related disorders
Muscular and joint pain
Breathing disorders
Blood sugar disorders
Hormonal imbalances
Skin problems
Digestive disorders
Stress related sleep disorders
Reflexologists aim to treat the imbalances of each individual and to alleviate and improve symptoms. However, they do not prescribe or diagnose a specific medical condition and I advise clients should continue with any medication or treatment prescribed by their GP.
